After spending some time with RAGE for my preview, I had a feeling it's going to be quite a big game. Who knew that game would literally be a big game if Xbox 360 owners opt to install the game directly to their hard drive.

If you're the kind of person who wants to get the most out of their gaming experience and tends to install games on your Xbox 360 hard drive, then you better start clearing some space up as RAGE will take somewhere between 21 - 22 GB of data if installed. As with all Xbox 360 games, installing a game onto the hard drive isn't mandatory, but seeing as id co-founder John Carmack recommends the game be installed on the Xbox 360 for better performance, it'll probably be in your best interest to start freeing up some precious Xbox 360 hard drive space.

RAGE is reportedly being released on the Xbox 360 in 3 discs: 2 discs for the single-player campaign, while the third disc is for multiplayer only. PS3 owners won't have to worry about a thing as the game fits entirely in a single blu-ray disc. Once again, the Xbox 360 shows its age in the disc format wars, so hopefully Microsoft can offer a better media format for their discs since swapping out discs is sooooo 1997. Let's just hope Microsoft has something to show us at next year's E3 .
